Christmas Greetings from the National Chairman

This Christmas Season, we would do well to recognize the wisdom of the Founding Fathers in giving us the republican form of self-governance that they did. As Benjamin Franklin was quoted as saying: “We gave you a republic if you can keep it.” We have so much to be thankful for, but in addition to that, we have a heavy weight on our shoulders to continue to foster and make popular among ourselves and our peers those very ideals that our Founding Father’s gave us. Do your part by making the smallest of gestures to everyone you see. We are all familiar with the old adage “The pen is mightier than the sword.” There is a reason why this piece of ancient wisdom has survived the years. Language has immense power. The manipulation of language has been one of the greatest achievements of Social Marxists. Their twisting of words and their meanings is what has given them free reign to deconstruct the ancient traditions and values that have allowed us to build the most prosperous and liberal civilization in the entirety of human history.

Remind everyone that it is OK to say “Merry Christmas” instead of the politically correct “Happy Holidays.” Call your local school boards, ask about their Christmas programs, and remind them that the United States is still a majority Christian country, and that our tax dollars, which are used to fund these schools, MUST be used to teach the traditional values of OUR civilization. Each time you wish a passerby a Merry Christmas, it may seem like a small gesture, but you will certainly bring a moment of joy to their day by doing so, while at the same time tactfully reminding them that we are a Christian society. Any time you witness a person being unjustly persecuted in social media or in the news for having uttered a phrase that the Cultural Marxists of the Progressive Left deem “hate speech,” kindly remind people that the accused is fully entitled to the assumption of innocence until proven guilty, and even should they be “guilty” of having said something offensive, that they are fully entitled to the free expression of their opinions, whether others like them or not.

We conservatives tend to be an independent lot, and it is easy for us to assume that others are easily motivated toward self-reliance. We often forget that human nature is such that individuals will willingly sacrifice their own well-being in order to not be ostracized by the tribe. Not everyone is as independence-minded as a traditional, conservative American. Let us remember that our actions may provide the guidance needed to help others choose to hold our values as important. We never know when another person may be at a critical juncture in their life, and a gesture that you may deem to be insignificant, such as wishing a stranger a Merry Christmas, may be the key to helping that person decide not to abandon our traditions in the face of mounting societal pressure to do so.

The faithful and consistent financial support from our members over the past year has enabled us to make progress in building our party to the degree that we have. I sincerely hope that your support will continue into the coming year. Those of you who have not yet pledged your support to the Howard Phillips Legacy Society undertaking, I would sincerely encourage you to do so. This support has been vital in building the party. We look to apply our founding principles, and in the future intend to offer products and services that will prove to be vital in funding the party’s mission in restoring the Constitution to its rightful place in our society. We invite your constituents to get involved by sending their thoughts, comments, concerns, and suggestions about the direction you would like to see the party go with regards to the services that we may provide. The unrivaled prosperity of our great Nation was founded on the free exchange of value on the open market, and in this spirit, we are looking into ways and means to promote the resurgence of the free market. We look to the new generation of Americans, who are possessed of such creative and productive potential to be the economic engine that will build the might and influence of our party, so that we may pursue more effectively our goals of restoring sovereignty to the People of the United States, that we may once again be the Guiding Light of the West, and lead our civilization back to the path of Constitutional Rule. Once again, my sincere thanks to each of you for your untiring support. Know that it is deeply appreciated. May you experience the Spirit of Christmas in your lives during this time of the year, but also help to remind Americans of who we are, and where we come from, and may you enjoy a Happy and Prosperous New Year.

My sincere thanks to Nicholas Kontgas, a new member of the party, for his input into this newsletter. You will be hearing more of him in the coming months. Nicholas has lived in China for the past 11 years and has had first-hand experience with the destructive power that Social Marxism has on a society.

Merry Christmas to you all,

National Chairman
