With seven candidates vying for the nomination, the debate scheduled for the opening night will set the tone for an exciting time! Delegates and guests will not want to miss this opportunity to meet the candidates in person and hear their views on the important issues facing our nation.

Platform Committee deliberations will also begin on Wednesday as committee members examine suggestions and additions offered for consideration. Maintaining a constitutionally sound platform is key to the party’s mission of restoring our Republic, and your vote as a delegate can assure the party platform continues to be the best in the nation.

The convention officially opens on Friday, May 1. Candidates will be presenting their nomination speeches to the delegates on Friday afternoon. The platform will be debated and presented for adoption. The Meet and Greet Reception is scheduled for Friday evening.

On Saturday, the roll call vote of the states will occur, followed by the acceptance speeches from our presidential candidate and vice-president.

Immediately following the close of the convention, the National Committee will convene to elect national officers and regional directors. National Committee members do not want to miss this opportunity to choose our leaders for the next four years.

The dinner banquet on Saturday evening will serve as the official campaign kick-off!

Never attended a convention or been a delegate, but interested?

It’s easy! Qualifying states are all assigned delegate votes to cast for their state. State delegations may consist of one person or a large group of delegates who will cast the state’s votes. Either way, the state must have someone in attendance to cast the allocated votes. Whatever you do, make sure your state has representation at the convention.

Anyone desiring to attend as a delegate should contact your state leadership immediately to inform them of your desire to attend the convention representing your state in choosing our nominee and approving our national platform.
